NOTICE TO THE MARKET

 

IDEIASNET S.A., a publicly held company with headquarters at Visconde de Pirajá n. 572, salões 401/parte, Rio de Janeiro, registered under Corporate Taxpayer (CNPJ) no. 02.365.069/0001-44 ("Ideiasnet"), pursuant to CVM Instruction 358, dated 01.03.2002, announces to its shareholders and the market in general that:

The Spanish company Telefónica included Padtec S.A ("Padtec") on its Short List as of september 2008 to supply:

(i) WDM for metropolitan networks; and
(ii) SDH for access networks.

Both access and metropolitan networks are highly important for the international expansion of new telecommunication services.

The inclusion of Padtec on Telefónica's Short List may account for a substantial increase in company sales and cash generation. Ideiasnet holds 34.2% of Padtec's capital stock.
